FarmVille to permanently shut down starting next year

FarmVille, a community game that virtually simulates working on a farm, is officially closing its pastures on Facebook. However, the FarmVille franchise isn’t going away entirely. Fans of the agricultural pastime will still be able to play spinoffs such as FarmVille 2: Tropic Escape and FarmVille 2: Country Escape.
