Warner Bros. Says It Will Transform Its Biggest Franchises Into Live Service Games

WB Games will be focusing on more live service games in the future. During its earnings call, CEO David Zaslav claimed that he wants to convert all major IP into long-term gaming products — ones that rely on an always-on model, in an attempt to drive post-launch monetisation through regular content drop. However, going by past instances like Back 4 Blood and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, this doesn’t seem to be the right path for WB Games.
