The other games were drawn, but only after Richard Rapport missed wins against birthday boy Alireza Firouzja, while the Nepo-Caruana clash of the leaders was a thriller after Fabi unleashed some dangerous home preparation. Duda-Ding was the quietest draw, but even there both sides got chances.
