King Pawn Sacrifice is actually a political song, the text was created through a special perspective on the many rapid political careers of the last decades, which very often ended abruptly (greetings at this point to Sebastian Kurz, former Austrian Chancellor). The analogy of the rise of a king, chosen to seize power because he's popular with the people, alongside a compliant, willing team that submits to the king, but only as long as it pays off. The road to the top is paved with empty promises and manipulation. Once at the top, appearances can no longer be maintained, promises remain unfulfilled, frauds come to light. In other words: the façade collapses and the willing team sacrifices their king, who is pushed into the role of the scapegoat: the king pawn sacrifice. King Pawn Sacrifice is a very melodic song that characterizes the special Beat Noir Deluxe with special, spherical synthesizer sounds.
